Staying in touch...not so easy

Hi all,

I am currently typing this with one hand as I hold Zoe with the other. She's awesome. She's looking around more and more, tracking things and recognizes my and Jaben's voices. Oh, she likes to suck our fingers. See exhibit A.

There is always something to do - change a diaper, feeding, wash clothes, sleep in there somewhere, and let's not even talk about how I need to study and write papers. Jaben is a great Dad. He's doing more than I could have imagine. Please keep posting funny things...Chris?

Promise to take more pics soon.

Love.

Ahoy Nina and Jaben from the deck of the sailing vessel, Tahiti Rover, currently anchored in the Saint Johns River, Jacksonville, Florida.

We haven't met yet, Nina, but I look forward to it. Congratulations on launching a fine little vessel of your own. I cracked up over the photo of Jaben lying in bed with his hat on and holding Zoe. I think I would title that photo, "What happened?" Jaben has the typical spaced-out look of the new father. I'm glad to hear that he is dutifully fulfilling his parental duties. I think you've picked a winner for a Dad for Zoe.

I spoke with Mic, Jaben's dad, yesterday and learned that he and Gaylynn have a trip planned to come for a visit to check out the new arrival. Mic simply gushes, and I can tell he's really chomping at the bit to get little Zoe in his arms.

Grab what rest you can. I truly hope you fare better than my daughter when she had her first child, Katy. Katy didn't allow my daughter a full night's sleep for 2 years! What would we do without Mothers?!

Take care,

Robb

That's such a precious image.

Congratulations! Mazel tov, as your Grandpa Leon might have said.

Your Aunt Barbara (who has still not cottoned to the Internet) also sends her love and congratulations.

Much love from Brooklyn.

We're glad to hear things are going so well for you guys. Since I have no idea on what to expect, I am using Jaben as a model on how I should raise my child. By the way, whose feet does Zoe have?

Hello all. I found this site while doing a Google search on 'tahiti rover'. A comment by Robbie "from the deck of the sailing vessel, Tahiti Rover..." brought up this page. I am researching and collecting info on Merritt Walter designed Tahiti Rovers and their adventures.
Is there anyway to contact Robbie? I can be emailed at
vmail714-roverschooners at yahoo dot com.
Thanks much,
Vicky

Ahoy! Jaben and Nina:

Mic just sent me an email letting me know there were some new photos of Zoe.

What a sweetheart! Your descriptions of her actions and attitudes are hilarious, Nina! I know you and Jaben are having a ball with the new addition to your relationship. Have you taken any digital movies of her yet? Sure would be great to hear her giggles and see her in action.

Keep those pictures coming!

Fair winds,
